Scott and I spent two weekends in our attic preping for insulation and then blowing in insulation. The preping was a very interesting job trying to cram ourselves into tiny spaces while trying not to put our feet through the ceiling.

As you can see there is barely any insulation which makes for a cold house

We had to vent the fan to the outside, the metal pipe sticking up from the insulation

You can see the black vents and pink bat insulation that we had to put in for the prep work

Scott feeding the hopper, you can see the pipe that went all the way to the attic

Some of the insulation, we blew in 20 bags, it was quite the process

Dad was wonderful and spent the whole time in the hot attic making sure everything was settling correctly

The hopper grinding up the insulation

An action shot

I even got a chance to load the hopper
And the after shot, a lot more insulation=a warmer house!
