Weeks 27, 28, and 29

Sorry no picture yet...

How Far Along: 29.5 weeks

Total Weight Gain: Holding steady at 20lbs. I see doctor on Monday so we shall see.

Gender: Girl!

Movement: Sometimes she moves so much it makes me feel sick, especially if I have eaten a lot of food. Last night the party was hopping so much I had to drink some cold water to cool her down so I could get back to sleep. They are getting stronger and stronger every day.

Food Craving: Do tomatoes count as a food craving since I regularly crave them all the time?

Favorite moments: We settled on names, then I found one that was thrown into the mix, now we are back to our original name and struggling with the middle name. I had my first delivery dream last week... I went in for a regular appointment and my doctor cut about a 2inch hole in my stomach and took baby girl away. Scott came in the room later and I asked him how she looked and what she looked like. He gave her the name I was leaning more toward, (but now is not in the running), and I went back to work. People asked me to pick up some things and I told them I just had surgery and showed them my two stitches. Crazy.

Sleep: Is there such a thing as sleeping through the night anymore? Probably not for the rest of my life. I toss and turn more than a stir fry is tossed and turned...

What I am looking forward to: Scott's birthday, possibly going up north, and showers. Time is starting to run out and I am getting a bit nervous...

25 & 26 Weeks

Where mommy and baby girl have spent most of their time together, The Gym.

How Far Along: 26 weeks

Total Weight Gain: I see the doctor on Thursday, I will then know what the grand number is.

Gender: Girl!

Movement: She has a dance party every night as we lay down to go to sleep. We can see her visibly move. We first saw the movement at 23 weeks but I kept forgetting to blog about it.

Food Craving: I made lettuce soup over the weekend, it tasted so good. I have decided that I need to keep some on hand just to have. I also enjoy the DQ mini blizzards. They are just the right size to give you a taste but not too much.

Favorite moments: We have settled on a names. We have two separate first and middle names. We are going to wait until she arrives to give her the name that fits her best.

Sleep: Can I get another pillow? I am now sleeping with a body pillow to hug and put between the legs. Another one to also hug, and two to put under my head. I also have one on standby just in case... My back doesn't hurt when I have the two under my head, but I did sleep on my neck weird and it made it so painful to move this weekend. Thanksgiving weekend was a blur. We were up in Green Bay on Thursday, hit the black Friday deals Thursday night to get out TV, Friday we ran some errands, and I hung out with Stephanie and Noelle. Saturday I had a KC's bridal shower and Bachelorette party, while Scott hung out with my family at Country Springs Hotel, then on Sunday we were in Baraboo for the final Thanksgiving. It was exhausting...

What I am looking forward to: Christmas.

Agility Competition

A wee little dog competed. He was so small that they had a hard time getting the starting obstacle low enough for him.
A wee little doggie

Just barely making it over the A frame

Agility Class

Rory trying to master the weave
Scott has been training Rory in agility class since fall started. She is really starting to get the hang of it. You can tell she gets mentally drained when the class is coming to an end. Scott is doing a great job making it fun for her.
Mason, showing us the command "spot"
Her friend Mason is the star of the class. Allison is his master and she does a really good job of working with him. We went and saw her and Mason compete this last weekend, it was an intense experience, but a lot of fun!

Halloween

Flo and Myhem
Scott and I were once again invited to his co-workers costume party. I was a pregnant Flo and Scott was girl out running Mayhem. I gave him the black eye by punching him, just kidding it was makeup.

23 and 24 Weeks

Getting bigger!

How Far Along: 24 weeks, I missed a 23 week update so here are two in one.

Total Weight Gain: 12lbs, still having the backaches.

Gender: Girl! I have a worry that when "she" arrives "she" will be a "he." Is this a normal worry? I am so worried that I think everything we registered for is gender neutral.

Movement: She is moving a lot. She likes to kick on the left side of my stomach, Saturday morning I woke up and she was on the right side kicking. I felt her flip over to the left side again right before I got up for the day. That was a crazy feeling.

Food Craving: Nothing as of right now. The sweets have subsided, but they still taste pretty good. I can eat chocolate again without having the feeling that I want to puke it up immediately.

Favorite moments: Discussing names between Scott and I. We have a list going but not set on one. The middle name is what I think we'll have a harder time with than the first name. We have finished out birthing class. Let's just say I have seen too many lady parts and have a good idea that I don't want to be seeing others EVER again. I had some help painting the nursery on Saturday. It looks amazing and is the exact color I was going for! I will post pictures when I have it put back together again.

SleepI am semi-sleeping through the night. I feel a little more rested because I don't have to pee in the middle of the night anymore. I will enjoy it while it lasts because I am sure it will be short lived soon.

What I am looking forward to: Finally settling on a name. We are pretty close to her first name. So stay tuned for the next 16 weeks or so to find out when she makes her grand arrival.

Week 22

22 weeks and getting huge

How Far Along: 22 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 12lbs and I am starting to feel the effects. I am tired, and my upper back aches while I sleep, it wakes me up around 4am everyday.

Gender: Girl! Some people have purchased some clothing for her and it is just too cute!

Movement: She is moving a lot. Her favorite times to move are around 7:30 in the morning, after I have eaten something if I am not up and moving around, and when we are settling down for the night. Her kicks and punches are starting to get stronger and more noticeable. I can definitely tell she is putting on more weight and gaining more strength.

Food Craving: Sweets at the end of eating a meal, chocolate is starting to taste better, but I am not really craving anything.

Favorite moments: We are registered! Scott and I took a morning drive to Brookfield to the Babies 'r us and tackled the registry. I was prepared with lists and had a game plan. Scott on the other hand was very overwhelmed with the variety of everything. We started in the car seat aisle and that took a little bit getting used to, for him at least. It was fun to look at all the different options and choices for our little bundle of joy. Scott also had to work this past Saturday so I finished registering at Target.

Sleep: I have been sleeping through the night, but being woken up around 4am because my back hurts. To help me get back to sleep I used to count down from 100 but now I an spelling the states. It helps keep my mind off tasks that need to be done.

What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery ready, hopefully before the holiday hectic starts. Rory meeting baby girl.

It's a....

20 and 21 weeks

How Far Along: 20 and 21 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 4lbs according to the doctor. I weighed myself just after I ate a HUGE amount of food on Sunday, which is happening more often lately, and it said around 10 lbs... Just a note on the weight gain, I am amazed at the amount of food I can pack away in the second trimester, no wonder people put on outrageous amounts of weight...

Gender: Girl, still getting used to the idea of girl, but we are excited. Do you know anyone that is selling a shotgun?

Movement: She was moving like crazy during the ultrasound. I swapped a glass of water with a glass of juice for the sugar and she was kicking and moving her hands all over the place. It took the technician a while to get pictures of her heart because her arms were moving everywhere. I have been starting to notice her awake times and sleep times. She is usually awake right away in the morning just after I get up, sometime in the afternoon, and then right when I am settling down to bed at night.

Food Craving: There is nothing in particular that I am craving that I can think of. Ice cream comes around every now and then. Although I will not keep it in the house because I would probably eat it by the gallon.

Favorite moments: Finding out it was now a she. Getting to know her schedule. Moving my due date up a bit, now it is March 6. She measured big for how far along I am. That means I am two weeks ahead of schedule. I like to think of myself as a convection oven rather than a regular oven. Friends and family are purchasing our little girl animals and outfits.

Sleep: Starting to enjoy sleeping through the night again. I still am waking around 3am and tossing and turning till the alarm goes off.

What I am looking forward to: Registering for additional items we may need. If you have any advice as to what to register for leave a comment. We already have a lot of the big ticket items that are needed, i.e. crib, changing table, swing, etc.

Mom's Bday

There was an impromptu celebration of mom's bday. They came over for the Packer game and all we had was ice cream and cookies mom made earlier in the day. We couldn't fit the appropriate amount of candles on the little bowl of ice cream. That number will not be disclosed. Happy Birthday mom!

TURKEYS

We came down from upstairs to these in our back yard. Does anyone need a turkey for Thanksgiving?

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 4lbs probably more because I am feeling HUGE lately...

Gender: We find out on Wednesday!! So excited! Still thinking boy for me, Scott is not diclosing his thoughts.

Movement: Baby has been more active that I have been able to feel. Laying in bed on Saturday baby was active and Scott got to feel it move! It was a great moment to share.

Food Craving: As of right now... the things that really taste good are pizza, potatoes (fries), chili, tomato based things, and still stuck on smarties.

Favorite moments: Feeling baby move, and Scott being able to feel it!

Sleep: Sleeping mostly throught the night, bathroom is not calling all the time. Restlessly sleeping from 3 or 4 till the alarm goes off at 6...

What I am looking forward to:  Last call to get your thoughts in. Wednesday at 9:15 as long as baby is cooperative. I plan on drinking some juice to get the little booger moveing and active.

Total Weight Gain:  4lbs

Gender: I am thinking boy, Scott is thinking girl, we find out on Wednesday!! So excited!

Movement: From what everyone is telling me I have felt some movement. It is the coolest thing in the world!

Food Craving: Nothing right now. The candy craving has calmed down dramatically. I am amazed at how much food I can eat at once. I ate a whole buffalo chicken footlong for dinner last night.

Favorite  moments:  I traveled to Cincinnati to spend time with my cousins. It was fun playing star wars with cole and graham, oh to be a kid again. Getting everyone's reaction to the growing belly is quite interesting. People at work now are really starting to wonder and ask questions, it is quite fun to play around with them.

Sleep: The bathroom still calls my name, this time at around 3:30, and I am drinking water like it is running out. I am starting to fall back asleep faster after getting back to bed.

What I am looking forward to:  Wednesday we find out!!!!! Put your bets in now boy or girl!

17 weeks

How Far Along: 17

Total Weight Gain:  1lb according to last doctor appointment, I see her on Thursday.

Gender: I really don't know, hopefully finding out in 2 weeks, everyone is thinking girl...

Movement: None so far... Still waiting, I may have felt something on Saturday lounging on the couch at Kyle and Krystin's, I can't distinguish if it was a muscle twitch or my heartbeat.

Food Craving: Anything that is sugary candy, I raided Kyle and Krystin's candy bowl while I was there! Potatoes are also a good one, soup in general. I drove to Mequon on Sunday, to get Panera's tomato soup and bread, I burnt my tongue... It tasted so good though.

Favorite  moments:  Scott getting more and more excited each day. Growing belly, I bought my first belly bands to keep the pants up for the time being.

Sleep:  Still getting up to go to the bathroom at least once, then drinking half a bottle of water.

What I am looking forward to:  Movement and finding out gender.

A closer view

Scott's Co-Worker Wedding

We had a pleasant night last Friday at a wedding for Scott's co-worker. The food was amazing, the company was great, and it was absolutely beautiful! We then headed over to Oconomowoc to spend the night at Kyle and Krystin's so Scott could spend the weekend with the boys, doing guy things, and I needed to go bridesmaid dress shopping for a wedding I am in, in May.

The hottest couple besides the bride and groom.

It was nice and relaxing, what the doctor ordered after a busy summer.

The next weekend we celebrated his birthday at our house.

With a beautiful bride and a handsome groom and God blessing them both, it was a beautiful day, although VERY HOT. It went off without any trouble, we all showed up on time, sweated through our shirts and dresses but at the end of the day they were joined together in marriage. May God bless your time together Tony and Emily!

The most handsome man in the world, and one of the cutest children on earth!

Such a special moment

The family dress code was black and white. I think we pulled it off quite well!

Time With the Tico and Tica's

I took the week of the Fourth of July off to spend some time with my older sister and her family. They flew in from Costa Rica for my little sister's wedding on July 6th. We went to the "beach" in West Bend to catch some rays and get some swimming in because of the HOT weather we had this summer. We had a lot of fun splashing in the pond, and running through the splash pad.

Yard Games

Our neighbors son is an arborist and we asked him to take down a tree in our back yard and dead wood the tree in our front yard. He came over Saturday and said he would take all the trees we wanted down and chip them for us. This is what happened...
