Video from Trip
Here is a video from part of our drive around the lake. It goes straight down to water, with no guard rails.
On this video you can see how the winding roads got a little scary sometimes! Just think of all the people who might do this under the influence of somethin.

Where to find the time?
Yes we are still alive and living a busy life. In the past couple of months I have started a new job and loving it, we have gone on vacation to Lake Tahoe, and Scott is preparing for his interview for grad school.
Let me start here. The end of February Scott found a job on craigslist for a manager at the gym he worked out at. I was really excited and emailed my resume in and got an interview. The interview went great, I think because it was not at all like any of my other interviews. I ended up getting a second interview a week later. That interview was just to measure how much I wanted to job and if I understood the responsibilities of it all. I ended up getting the job so I am now the Manager at Anytime Fitness - Port Washington. I am loving every single little bit about it. I get to meet new people, watch the goals people are meeting in their weight loss and weight lifting goals, and I get to work with a great team of people!
Two weeks ago Scott and I returned from out trip to Lake Tahoe, to all of you who do not know where it is, it is right on the border between California and Nevada where Nevada takes a turn down towards Vegas. After a bumby ride out to Reno by airplane we arrived at our lodging for the night and took it easy. We rented a car and drove out to Lake Tahoe, which is around an hour from Reno, we arrived at our resort courtesy of mom and dad, thank you. The resort was amazing we had a complimentary valet, which made us feel rich, we would have to call down for the car if we wanted to drive somewhere! We enjoyed our time together relaxing, sight seeing, not so much losing at the casino, hiking, and a dinner and dance cruise on the lake. The scenery was beautiful and was just amazing to see what God created in all its beauty.
Scott is currently on doing a weekend of on call for the ambulance and loving it. Along with that, there is less stess for him and me knowing that he only has to go to work for the week and not worry about getting sleep deprived. He is also currently preparing for an interview for grad school with Blood Center. He is looking to get into their Specialist in Bloodbanking program through Maquette. This program would get him on track to graduate with a Masters in Business Administration for Bloodbanking. I think this is what it is supposed to be. He has his interview on May 27th. It is supposed to be a three hour interview so please pray for him that he has the strength to keep up his energy and the knowledge to answer the questions with enough knowledge to get into the program.
There is the update for now. We have been blessed by God this year with providing a good paying full time job for me and helping us reach our financial goals...which will lead to kids sooner rather than later! I know everyone wants to know when we are having kids! I will post picture soon!

God Answering Prayers
Pastor Sid was preaching on Unwanted answers to prayer this last Sunday at church and he said something that was really eye opening. He was preaching on the passage of Judges 20 where the Israelites cried out to God three different times to help Him defeat the Benjamites, after their third time of calling out to God, He assured them they would win the battle.
Although we may not always get the answer we want from prayer, God is using prayer to draw us close to Him. He puts a higher value on the relationship with Him, rather than the results of what we pray for.
After hearing this I was amazed at how much this is true. Recently I had blogged about trouble with our cars, along with that we are trying so desperately to stop being slave to the lender by paying off our debt. We have been praying, working, and saving a lot this past year to reach that goal.
In Lew of the recent events and this message on Sunday I now know what God is trying to teach us. He is valuing more of the relationship we have with Him rather than our earthly goals.

Rough Start of the Year
We rang in the new year with friends and family hoping for a great new year with less stress and a new job! The days flew by and we learned our "Red Scare" (the escape) needed to be fixed asap and it was going to be a hefty amount of money. God has blessed us financially this past year and we had money stashed away for this particular reason.
On the job front, as most of you know I was overlooked for the job position and did not recieve it. Thank you for all your prayers.
We were able to have some fun two weekends ago by going to the great up north with some friends. We went skiing, ice fishing, and sledding. It was a great weekend to get to know some old friends better and meet new friends!
To finish off the great weekend we came home to the other car having issues of its own, and needed the battery connectors replaced. Luckily for us and with a blessing from God it was not a hefty price to get it fixed, and we even got cookies from the mechanic! They were quite yummy!
To say the least we are very blessed to having a house over our head, food on the table, cars that are working, and Scott having an awesome job were he continues to excel at! Till next time...

Merrry Christmas To All.........
Have a very Merry Christmas! Scott and I cannot wait to have everyone over for a nice cozy Christmas Eve and family fun Christmas Day!
Just a little update the management position has suddenly become available for the YMCA pool, and I have applied. I ask for your prayers that God give wisdom to the people making the decisions and they make the right choice! (hopefully they pick me!) That is all for now...
