Caramal Apples and Pumpkins

Our tradition continued with Kevin and Maria, only this time we invited over two other couples to join in the fun! Brandon and KC, and Brian and Theresa joined us in our caramal apple and carving pumpkin fun!

Family Room

Scott and I had off one monday in October so I could start another treatment for my RA and we stopped at a local store that was going out of business and found some cheap paint. So we decided to get the rest of the paint for our family room and our kitchen. We got the family room done but we still need to get that hideous wall paper off the kitchen walls.

We pulled out the carpet, painted the ceiling and bottom white, with the top a straw color

Focus on the fire place. Now we just need to get things on the wall and our floors in!

Mom's Birthday!

Some of us celebrated mom's birthday after church with pizza and pie. She wanted an apple pie so we baked it during lunch and it came out piping hot!

The candles were tipping over and we couldn't figure out why...

Then mom blew out the candles and we found out why. They were melting on the inside because the pie was so hot. It could literally burn on both ends!

Which One do You Like the Most

There is decorative grass at church that I thought was beautiful. I took some pictures but now I want your opinion as to which one you like the most.

Insulation: Before and After

Scott and I spent two weekends in our attic preping for insulation and then blowing in insulation. The preping was a very interesting job trying to cram ourselves into tiny spaces while trying not to put our feet through the ceiling.

As you can see there is barely any insulation which makes for a cold house

Some of the insulation, we blew in 20 bags, it was quite the process

Dad was wonderful and spent the whole time in the hot attic making sure everything was settling correctly

Fall Colors

We have a ton of trees around our house now that we live more out in the country. They displayed beautiful colors before they dropped all their leaves.

Cinncinnatti

As stated in a previous post I went down to Cinncinnatti to have a girls weekend with my cousins. It was spent staying up late, sleep in, staying in our pajamas till the afternoon and wonderful food!

Friday night we traveled into the city for dinner

They even had a butter bar

Chicago on the way home, such a beautiful city

Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic for an hour on the way home, making us hate the city even more
