SISTERS!

New Camera!

So if you remember way back in the month of April Scott and I ventured out into the world of Opening Day at Miller Park for the Brewers! We had so much fun with our friends Kevin and Maria taking pictures, playing bags, and eating barbeque! Well after the game was done I was in the process of taking out my camera to take pictures of all the trash that was left in the parking lot, all of a sudden my hands were filled with butter and I dropped the camera. Since that drop all the pictures would turn up blurry and fuzzy. It was a very sad day for me.

Well the happy ending to this story is, Scott and I celebrated our anniversary two weekends ago and I was one spoiled wife. We stayed at the Washington House Inn in Cedarburg, which is awesome and I totally recommend it, and Scott let me get a new camera because it was on sale! I was very happy. So here are some pictures from the new camera and our room!

My Husband...

Reflecting on the last 7 and 1/2 years with the man I love, I would like to share with you why he is such a wonderful man!

  • He has a heart for God
  • He provides for me
  • He is the most handsome man in the world
  • He plans for our future
  • He has minor freakouts when I spend to much money on something
  • He is always loving
  • He puts up with me when I am moody
  • He wants to give me everything I want (not always when I want it)
  • He is understanding
  • He is willing to do the 2 week old laundry
  • He get me Lego Harry Potter for our anniversary
  • He sent me flowers at work for our anniversary
  • He is a very hard worker
  • He is always looking for opportunities to save money
  • He loves to go rummaging with me looking for opportunities to save money
  • He has such a passion for football and the Packers
  • He loves hanging out with his family and mine
  • He wants to be a father someday
  • He will go out of his way to help someone in need
  • He is generous
  • He is everything I prayed for in a husband

Where Did July Go?

I find myself asking this question over and over again...Where did July and 2010 go? I guess we started off this month with a long extended weekend to the northwoods to celebrate the Fourth of July.

The next weekend we spent it celebrating the marriage of our good friends Kevin and Maria. They had a great ceremony in Grafton...I read some scripture for the ceremony. We ate some really German food, toasted with a Jaeger shot, watched the groom and groomsmen complete a glockenspiel dance, quite entertaining, and danced the night away! We also played chauffer for them and got them to their hotel room for their first night as a married couple. Congratulations to them!

After the wedding we headed up to Fon Du Lac for Scott's cousin Bethy's graduation. It was really good to see family and play a very entertaining game of volleyball, which I am surprised no one lost an eye or something!

Last weekend was Fish Day. Scott was on call all weekend, and during the day of Fish Day. He got to drive the Ambulance around town following the run/walkers in the morning, then he was in the parade waving to all the excited little kids! He was quite handsome in his uniform! After the parade he went golfing and I went home to take a nap, the sun was scorching (I got burned during the parade), and I was not feeling too well. Scott went back on call at 10pm for the remaining weekend, so we watched the fireworks from the fire station and he got called right at 11pm, so I hung out at the station with a few of the firefighters and chief till they got back.

Sunday we had lunch with Scott's family, looked at a house (didn't like it), softball practice, then stayed in and watched a movie and ate popcorn. The best ending to a stressful weekend.

This weekend Scott has a softball tournament for the fire department, we are watching Scott's co-workers dog Mason! And I am going to Eric and Carol's for Cadens 3rd birthday party! WOW! I CANNOT believe she is 3 already! When did that happen?

All the busy weekends have been of course interspersed with busy weeks. Scott has softball on Monday nights, EMS practice most Wednesday nights, and we play volleyball Thursday nights. Plus we try to hang out with some friends at least once a week. So to answer the question...Where has July and 2010 gone? I have no idea. Please let me know if you find it hiding in a corner or some other obscure place!

Blessings

I was ready Krystin's blog and came upon the blessings, so here are just a few things Scott and I are thankful for...
  • Our salvation in Christ
  • God providing sufficiently for us
  • Our love for eachother
  • Both of our jobs and their flexibility
  • Cars that are somewhat reliable
  • Money to fix those somewhat reliable cars
  • Family and friends letting us use their cars when our somewhat reliable cars need to be fixed
  • Our awesome families and the additions that are growing in great numbers
  • The many friends we have and the many more we will meet
  • A roof over our heads that can be cooled when needed
  • Being able to communicate with family all over the world

These are just some of the things we are blessed with. I could go on but I do not want to bore you. Have a great day!

Independence Day!

Scott and I both took off on Friday to get a head start on the weekend and we are really glad we did.

We headed up north to Three Lakes (by Eagle River) to visit his Nanna and Grandpa. We arrived mid afternoon and imediately started to relax. As the day went on we found ourselves indulging in the peace and quiet of the great northwoods. Friday we stuffed our face with a fish fry or in my case I had shrimp fettucini alfredo, and spent the night talking with family.

Saturday we visited our friends, who were also up north 15 min. away, we went water skiing, played some bags, and party barged across the lake. To say the least we could not move on Sunday because we were so sore from skiing Saturday.

Sunday we bathed in the lake, there is nothing like jumping in a semi-cold lake early in the morning to wake you up, then headed out to the parade. It was quite entertaining to see my father-in-law and Scott's aunt fighting for candy. I think they were having more fun with the candy than the kids next to us. A sunny morning lead into a cloudy and rainy afternoon. Scott went fishing and I took a four hour nap and tried to read my book. Since it rained all day the fireworks were canceled, oh well we will catch them next year!

Monday we headed home after some more skiing and some battle tubing with Scott's cousin and her fiance. I think we are still recovering from the torture our bodies went through. All in all we spent the weekend stuffing our face with great food from Nanna and great company with family. We hope you all had a great 4th of July!
