Come again another day. We need two weeks of dry weather in order for the new mound system to be put in. Since learning of this new development in our house it has DONE NOTHING BUT RAIN.......... God has the biggest sense of humor. We cannot believe how much rain we have gotten and how much is supposed to come in the next few days/weeks/months.
Not only has spring been cold and miserable, I am totally convinced summer is never going to come and we are never going to be able to get the mound system in and get moved into our house.
God is teaching us many lessons this season, not only in the weather but also in life.

To My Faithful Blog Readers
Please pray that Scott and I are able to close on this house on time. As I said on facebook, the septic tank did not pass the inspection and could very well need to be replaced totally. This could cause a problem with the bank and getting our loan. Some options that we have are to lower the buying cost of the house and fix it ourselves and still close on time, or do this underwriting thing that is a little complicated to explain. We can still close on time and write it into our loan that the seller is going to fix it with the money they get from selling the house. Replacing a septic tank can take up to two weeks to change out and fix. With this all being said. Our underwriter might not like the options and make us wait to close on our loan until it is fixed which couldn't be till the end of May when the ground decides to finally get somewhat dry, which causes us to have to pay a lot of money to keep the rate that we have and get an extension. Or we may loose the house completely. Please pray for us that we can be calm about this, and for God to reveal Himself to Scott and I through this whole process. I just hope all this trouble the house is causing, it is going to be worth buying the house.

Oh what colors to choose???
After loving on Caden and Ethan, (Scott was putting forth full effort in order to be on the prayer list at night), we headed to the place we will be calling our second home this summer: Home Depot, to try and decide what colors we want to paint the rooms in the house. I think I went a little crazy and picked up almost every color grouping they offered. I just want to make sure we have all the options. Oh and we bought furniture from one of my members. One is a full sized leather couch, gray and it reclines on both sides. There is also a love seat that is a softer fabric, mocha in color, and there is a forest green lazy boy recliner. The couch and love seat are going in the family room, and the chair is going in the living room with the couch we are getting from Eric and Carol.
March Happenings
March brought many fun things for us here in Port Washington. I started volunteering as a Big Sister in the Big Brother Big Sister program. I go to grade school every Tuesday morning before work and spend an hour with my little sister. We spend time reading, playing games, and learning math and money.
Laura in her play that was HILARIOUS
Laura seeing if he loves or loves her not
Ethan and his first birthday
I think this is when we went out for my birthday with Kevin and Maria
Scott also ventured up north for his annual mens ice fishing trip while I spent the weekend with girlfriends celebrating my birthday! My boss' gave me birthday money and my mother in law had 30% off at kohls, so we went shopping for new clothes for me which are amazing!
While Scott has been really good about studying for school and focusing on his classes, I helped some friends move into their new house! It was great fun to see what kind of craziness we will be going through in about one months time!

Painting
IS DONE!!! The house can now be re-appraised!!! Praise the Lord he is so good and held the weather off so they could get it done this past weekend!
On the other hand what should we paint the insides? We are thinking red for the kitchen, a mocha color for the family room (although Scott wants to call it then den), and we are up in the air about the other rooms.
I want to paint our room a nice rich purple on one wall and the other three a light purple. I am not so sure about the bathrooms, and we are going to leave the future kid's rooms what they are for now.
I am looking for inspiration anyone have any ideas?

A glimpse into the future...
We had nursery at church this last week and it was farely busy. We had three boys and one girl. The girl and one boy are just over a year old and the other two boys were almost two and ready to be out of nursery.
Scott was so amazing with the other two boys while I kept the babies occupied. He was chasing one around while pushing the other on a car, playing football with them, trying to teach them kung fu, and just haveing plain old fun with them! It was so awesome to see how he is becoming more comfortable with kids and a glimpse into the future of him playing with our kids.
In turn I have HUGE baby fever!

Well It's About Time
Time is moving so slow I feel with the house, we don't close until April 29th which seems forever away. We have been on the lookout for furniture and paint colors and different ideas for the house. A lot of the weekend has been spend watching HGTV and other home improvement shows.
The appraisal was done and went well but with our loan the government needs the trimming stripped and painted before we close, then it also needs to be re-assessed. We are praying for the weather to cooperate with us because the seller has decided to paint it herself. We just hope there is enough time before we close so we can get it re-assessed and keep the rate that we got.
Scott keeps coming up with ideas about what to do with the house and it is changing everyday. Sometimes he wants to keep things the way they are, and sometimes he wants to change everything. I cannot keep up with him it is so exhausting trying to follow him and all his ideas. He keeps driving by the house just to 'check' on it and if it is still standing, and also the roof because we have not seen that yet with all the snow this winter. He keeps flip flopping on that too. Some days it is "we can do this ourselves if we ask some friends" other days it is "I think we should get quotes just to make sure because I don't know if we can do this ourselves, with it being a tare off job and everything." To that I don't know what to say.
For now we keep thinking about what we want to do first with the house and if we can get our apartment rented our so we don't have to pay rent and a mortgage till August.
